What To Expect At Your Visit

The first session will be an initial meet-and-greet, also known as the intake process. You will get to know the therapist and start working on your treatment goals during this session. Please be aware that if you have not completed your online paperwork 48 hours before your session, you cannot be seen by the provider. If you do not cancel your session 48 hours before your session date, if you show up 20 minutes late to your session, or if you are a no-show for your session, you will be charged your full session fee. If you have any questions, please email info@theolivebranchcounselingcenter.com

I implement effective Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Therapeutic Art/Play Therapy, Trauma-Centered Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy for my clients. Other types of therapy that I like to use are: Exposure Therapy and Reality Therapy. These methods help to instill self-understanding among clients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a "quick fix": therapy is a healing process that begins with participation and investment from the client and the parent(s) alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, anxiety, and other feelings can bring life-altering results! I work with children starting at 6 years of age, adolescents, and adults on various topics, including:

Mood Disorders

Anxiety

Panic

Depression

PTSD

Borderline Personality Disorder

School-Related Issues

Behavioral Issues

Coparenting Skills

Postpartum Depression

Marriage Issues

Sex/Intimacy Issues

Women's Issues

Relationship Issues
